This policy explains what information Fora AI ("we", "us") collects when you use our website and scanning service (the "Service"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, contact us at privacy@freebugai.com.
Account information. When you register, we collect your username, email address, and password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text). You may optionally add a name, company, job title, GitHub username, bio, and avatar to your profile.
Code you submit for scanning. When you paste code, upload a file, or upload a ZIP project, we store that content so we can generate your security report and show it to you in your scan history. We do not use your submitted code to train any AI model, and we do not share it with third parties except the AI provider you've configured your account to use (see Section 3), solely to generate that scan's findings.
Payment information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment is processed directly by Stripe or PayPal. We do not receive or store your full card number or bank details — we retain only the subscription status, plan, and transaction metadata needed to manage your account.
Usage and log data. We automatically collect standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and timestamps, primarily for security, debugging, and understanding aggregate usage of the Service.
Cookies. We use cookies required for authentication (keeping you logged in) and, where enabled, cookies from analytics and advertising partners as described in Section 4.
Fora AI's core rule-based scanner runs entirely on our own infrastructure with no external calls. If your account is configured to use an external AI provider (OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, or Groq) for deeper analysis, the code you submit for that specific scan is sent to that provider's API to generate additional findings, subject to that provider's own privacy policy and data-handling terms. You can disable this at any time by leaving your account on the default rule-engine-only mode.
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the Service is used. On our public pages (such as this one and our blog), we may also use third-party analytics services and, where enabled, advertising partners such as Google AdSense, which may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; Google provides opt-out controls for personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com.

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Scan history and reports are retained until you delete them or close your account. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting privacy@freebugai.com; we will delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain certain records (such as billing history) for legal or accounting purposes.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can manage most of this yourself from your Profile page, or contact us to make a request. If you are in the European Economic Area or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), salted password hashing, and access controls on our infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep your data protected and to disclose any incident that affects you as required by law.
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or through a notice on the Service before the change takes effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent version.
